Pitch’d Circus and Street Arts Festival 2024 will run from August 23rd to the 1st of September. The theme for 2024 is Future-Proof; this year’s festival looks to the future, sustains the team steering the ship, platforms work at all stages, and shares experiences with our audience.
Pitch’d Festival is the annual flourish of a hard-working team at Circus Factory, and the circus show’s within are the flourishes of an artist's lifetime dedication to the obsession of skill, crafted by perseverance, honed through practice, and shared with love for our audiences.
While Ireland boasts the “world's oldest family circus”, the traditional artform got recognition in 2003, and the contemporary companies, artists and audiences are only now beginning to mature. So this year we look to the future and ask our audiences to indulge in the spectacular one-man juggling show “Rollercoaster” by Wes Peden, a juggler who has continued to amaze and inspire many.
Over 10 days we platform multiple Irish & International Circus Artists. We are showcasing two works in progress’, hosting a Dublin Fringe preview, an Ensemble Development Residency and a Circus Movie Night.
With the help of Promenade, we ask questions of our sector and discuss our needs as artists and producers.
